After spending a week at Sherman Hospital with pneumonia, I came to Avantara Elgin for rehabilitation to regain my strength. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well cared for. I went to Avantara Elgin for rehabilitation. The physical and occupational therapists were awesome, especially Yvette (Director of Rehabilitation) and Ross (PTA). I also had a great rapport with the nurses and CNAs. Niecy (CNA) always checked on me to ensure I had everything I needed, and Annette (RA) ensured my linens were fresh. Jessica (Administrator) was super helpful all the time as well. I highly recommend Avantara Elgin to anyone who needs rehabilitation!

I was recently discharged from Avantara Elgin on my birthday. Going home recovered was the best present. The wound care was outstanding. Tracy (wound care nurse) and Neil (wound care tech) were careful and caring and listened to my needs. Ronella, Janice, and Gloria (CNAs) were great. They were nice and helped me a lot. I heard about Avantara Elgin through a friend who had previously been there and recommended it. During my rehab, the team greatly assisted me, motivating me to exercise daily and guiding me in healthy eating. CNAs Chuck and James were particularly impactful, constantly checking on me and helping with anything I needed. My nurses were always very nice and thoughtful. The activity organizers also made a difference, ensuring I participated in all the functions and got out of my room. I would absolutely recommend Avantara Elgin. I’m grateful for everything the team did for me and would return if needed. I’m happy to be going back home to my son.
